Saxon Switzerland – Outdoor weekends in the Kirnitzsch valley
Beschreibung: An exciting and action-packed weekend awaits you – your outdoor weekend in the wonderful surroundings of Saxon Switzerland. You make your way to us by Friday evening and check in to your guest house. The next two evenings you will spend in a comfortable bed and breakfast.
The birds are singing, the sun shining as you awake in anticipation of the coming day. After breakfast, the first adventure begins: the climbing course. To be able to climb as deftly as a goat takes time and practice and the course provides you with a firm grounding in climbing. After an introduction to climbing and safety techniques, we carefully explain the pitfalls and dangers of climbing. Once you have mastered some basic knots, climbing and abseil techniques you can scale your first metres on a stone slope. It will take a little practice to begin with before you reach your first pinnacle in the breathtaking Elbe Sandstone Mountains. Enjoy the view from the top before abseiling back to the bottom on your own. To keep your strength up, we have a packed lunch with us.
By the end of the first day you will have your first “peak” under your belt and who knows, perhaps this is the beginning of a new favourite sport? Spend the evening together with the other participants or enjoy a delicious meal in one of the local restaurants. After the day’s exertions, you are sure to sleep well giving you new energy for a guided mountain bike tour through Saxon and Bohemian Switzerland after breakfast on Sunday. If you prefer, you may bring your own bike but if not we can provide you with a suitable bike and helmet.
After a brief introduction to the tour, it’s time to swing yourself onto your bike and pedal away. The tour is specially designed for beginners and no-one will be left behind. There’s plenty of time to enjoy nature and the time outdoors on the bike without having to hurry back to base. Your tour guide accompanies you throughout the tour and a packed lunch is provided for you to enjoy out in the open.
Once back at base, the outdoor weekend draws to a close and it’s time to leave. Will we see you again next year? We hope so.

Budweiser Trail mountain bike tour through Saxon Switzerland and Bohemian Switzerland
Who doesn’t enjoy a freshly tapped Czech beer after an exhilarating and exciting mountain bike tour through one of the most beautiful landscapes in the Czech Republic? The Budweiser Trail offers a wonderful opportunity to do just that. A two day mountain bike tour along the route of the TransOst trail. Starting in Sebnitz and with a stop in Malevil, the route crosses Saxon Switzerland and Bohemian Switzerland following exciting trails through the Zittau uplands with the Tannenberg visible from far and wide.
We spend the first evening in Malevil at a new ranch in the peaceful surroundings of the Czech national park. With a golf course, small zoo, riding centre, pool, tennis and beach volley ball court, the ranch has plenty to offer – its most recent addition is a high-wire rope garden. And then there’s the delicious Bohemian and international cuisine.
The return journey takes us through the legendary villages of Bohemia, through lost valleys and overgrown woodland. We take a spring in the refreshing coolness of a tucked-away reservoir and return via woodland trails towards home. But not before stopping off at a small wayside inn in Saxon Switzerland for a last beer and a round of bike-talk.
